I have been on my working holiday visa since May 2015, and it expires in May2017. I would like to apply for permenant residency but I'm struggling to see how I can do this.
My boyfriend is Canadian and we have been together since May 2016 and living together since August 2016. I have looked into a common-law sponsorship and this isn't possible as we have to live together for at least 1 year or more. I have also looked into the express entry but t would seem my high school education in England means nothing over here so I don't get any points for this. I am starting to get nervous and worried I am unable to apply and wondered if anybody has any tips or ideas of how I can do this? I am willing to sit the IELTS in order to get the points for the express entry.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can give me some advice.

this is a pretty broad question, so first off I would ask you to please use the Come to Canada tool on CIC's website http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp and then check this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/index.asp and then review each of the 3 EE streams to see if you meet the eligibility requirements

CEC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp
FSW http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp
FSTP http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/trades/apply-who.asp

I don't know too much about FSW or FSTP, but under CEC you need 1 year of work experience under NOC 0/A/B http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp jobs to be eligible and there is no "minimum" education requirement although being educated could potentially give you extra points (but for foreign education, only the equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma or higher is considered). So do you have or will you have at least 1year valid work experience here in Canada before your WP expires?

If you're not eligible for any of the above streams, perhaps you could apply to study here in Canada? You'll hopefully gain some skills this way and it may even help you for the purpose of your permanent residence (by helping you get a job here in Canada) after that? By then, you may even be common-law and your spouse could sponsor you?

This forum and the CIC page is very helpful and you'll find tons of information this way. The members on this forum are extremely helpful with specific queries as well, but if researching online seems too tedious maybe get in touch with a licensed immigration consultant to review your options?

Hope this helps.

Hello Friends ,
New to this form Smiley

Have received ITA dated 22.12.2016 now arranging documents to submit the application.

When i called up the available physician in my area to book an appointment for Medical exam , he said now the rules have changed and they are not authorised to conduct upfront medical exam anymore . The PR Applicant has to receive some IMM form otherwise submit the application as it is without medical.and the CIC will request it later .

Please help!

Try another physician. May be this physician is not aware of the rules.. you have to do upfront medical. Go with the physician who have e-medical system.

By the way which region you are from ?
