My family is trying to get the chance to settle permanetly in Winnipeg Manitoba under the MPNP. We still don't know if we are going to get it, but we already are looking to get the most information we could get, to be ready for that moment and to know what to expect.

We would like to know about:
-How was your adaptation and your kid's?
-Is there any programs for non English speakers kids at school?
-Best neighbourhoods for families?
-Pros and cons of living in Winnipeg.
-Is easy to make friends?
-Cost of living?
-Do you decide again to move there?
-How long do you take in find a skilled job in your field?

Yes, hope that seniors please could contribute and enlight with lots of information hahaha.

My husband sends an expression of interest and resume. They asked him to send his IELTS results. He is going to take the exam in September 20th, so we are waiting for that moment and then, we'll see what happen. We hope everything go well this time. We are trying to relocate for four years now!

We just applied thru provincial nominee, last july. So your husband has already an employer in Winnepeg? What is his intended occupation?
I hope he will get good points on his IELTS exam. Do you need to take the exam as well?

No, he still do not have employer...unfortunatelly. But we are always looking but I think if he is nominated it could be easier to get.
He works as a bank branch manager in Spain so he is looking for something in his field. What's your field?? Where are you from?

Are you also applying through provincial nominee? Do you have friends or relatives in Winnepeg already? This is also additional point if you tryin to go through provincial nominee. Provincial nominees have a good chance in getting the canadian permanent resident card. I have read on several threads here that most likely you wait 8 to 10 months to get nominated.

I have 1 kid as of now, how about you? My husband is in the electronics engineering field while I'm currently working in the real estate industry. I'm living in Cebu, Philippines.

You've mentioned you are tryin to relocate for 4 years. Did you apply before?

No, we don't have nobody there. That could be nice not just for a connection with the province, but for adaptation and so. We are also going to apply for MPNP but it's the first time we do. We couldn't do it before cause we don't meet requirements of other programs. We have been looking for a chance long time. We can't move there without a job, so we are both keen on it....but it's sooo difficult. I also think when we are nominated it's going to be easier to get...hopefully!
