Hey Jannette77,

if you are a citizen you can choose to go and see your husband, but I am not sure it will make a difference to the embassy... as you can not really contact them and put pressure etc... it might help to prove that you are in a genuine relationship though, as you are visiting your husband and spending time together... so depending on how much information you submitted, and if you have a straightforward case, it might help convince the VO that you have a real relationship - if they have doubts. but you might have submitted already enough information, so it won't make a difference - apart that it would probably be nice to spend time with your husband if your work situation allows it.
Good luck,
Sweden

In my case, my husband and I did go to the embassy to ask about the processing of his PR application, and later I also accompanied him to the interview. He was refused the visa.
However, the fact that I came to the embassy with him on both occasions was noted on our CAIPS notes. It is thus proof that I was travelling with him on at least two occasions. (The visa officer and later the appeal judge both implied that I was just travelling around by myself and was not in Nigeria to visit my husband; the two notes on the case file showing I was with him helped in that regard at least.)

I was there last time while another gentleman was attempting to do just that, in person. Here's my observation. They WILL NOT see you in person like that, even though he and his wife were claiming to have travelled there 6 hours by bus. He was getting "nowhere".

By all means, visit your husband but don't waste your time going to the Embassy.
