In the process of sponsoring my husband. He lives in Dominican Republic. He went to university in Spain so they are now asking for a police record check for him from Spain. Does anyone have experience with this process? Obviously he will not go there to obtain the police check but, we are trying to do it by mail. From what I understand and translated from the Spain website was that he needs to complete the Model 790 form. Also that to prove identity he needs to provide a certified photocopy of his passport. However, I'm confused about the payment options... how does he pay for it? On the website is confusing to me as I only speak English and the process that they are stating for payment is unrecognized to me. Please help. This is the website for the Police Check in Spain:

Here you go. How to Get a Police Certificate – Spain (including the Canary Islands) - Canada.ca

https://www.mjusticia.gob.es/es/ciudadanos/tramites/certificado-antecedentes - Seems really buggy, selecting english does not load the page in english.

More pages that might be of help [Can't guarantee but hope it's useful]:-

1. Criminal Record Check (canadainternational.gc.ca)

2. Spain - Obtain a Police Clearance Certificate (Criminal Record Certificate) (wikiprocedure.com)

3. Criminal Record Certificate (exteriores.gob.es)

Thanks I've read this. But still unclear. It's hard when you have to put in action... do you know anybody who's experienced doing the police certificate and what was their process? Thanks for your response by the way.

Added more webpages that might be of help to my original post.
