I am way much ahead then you both and I would be willing to provide you with any answers I can from my experience. Feel free to ask away and I will try my very best to provide you with an answer.

It's just a waiting game but remember it's a day closer to being reunited with our loved ones

Man, I must say that I checking e-CAS 5+ times a day and still no updates. I am confident though that the time I don't check it is when I will actually get an update.

I just need my damm interview letter and get the program pushed.

One thing I wanted to ask, what kinda of proofs or evidence have you included in your application to provide the genuineness of the relationship? Also, how long have you known your husband for before you got married to him? Is there a lot of proof prior to the marriage that you guys were in a relationship?

I am trying to help make an assumption whether or not you will need an interview from experiences with others.

Okay so,

Proofs that I enclosed was; Pictures from our wedding and all... Emails, Cards, Cards from our wedding, flight tickets, wedding expenses receipts, wedding invitation, phone bills.. I think that's about it.

And, we got married 7months after we became friends.

Did you have any proof for communication prior to your marriage to show how the relationship developed? Was your marriage a big.. meaning families, friends, neighbors, you know the whole neighborhood invitation thingy?

Have you included letters of support from close family and friends that can attest to the relationship in whatever form?

If there is concrete evidence to show that your relationship is real, like super real they would waive the interview.

My only concern is your documents you have submitted. Have you had any legal help with the application?

Is this yours and his first marriage? Any kids involved? Do you have assets together such as bank accounts? How about your preparing for him in Canada? Your own place or an arrange place?

In those applications you have to include all that sort of stuff, present, past and future plans.

You know what though, no need to be worried.

Work on what you have now. Build up on more concrete evidence and you can always send it to them. Do emails, send him letters or cards, let him do the same for you and call like mad. Treat it as if you 2 were first stage dating in Canada. You know, the million and one phone calls and lovey dovey things you would do. Try doing those now to build up on concrete evidence. Oh, and let him too.

You may be called for an interview depending on how well you have prepared your application. So far, POS just seems to call everyone for interviews.

WE got married 10 months into knowing each other and we have known each other now for over 2 years. Our rship had developed real fast though due to many many many factors.

The processing times at CPC-M really vary. I was recently told that most of the IOs are reaching their retirement stage at that office and they don't seem to really care about pushing through the apps.

You can check the processing times at www.cic.gc.ca ... click on application processing times on the right hand side of the page and follow the instructions.

I sent my application to CPC-M two weeks ago. I havent heard from them yet and there is no information available yet on the website (you can go in and check using your receipt #). I hope to hear something soon. I was told that Port-Of-Spain is where the hold up usually happens. But then again I know Guyanese who have got through in only 4 months. . .

Waiting is the hardest part! :-[
