Well have a day where you can get all the furniture into one room you wont be using for a few days and stack everythign in there then as soon as the carpet is doen move them back and do the same with the other rooms OR take everything outside ON A DRY DAY then move everything back in after the carpet is installed. Yes, you can as long as you have a valid TRV to enter (or if you are in one of the Visa-Exempt Citizen wherein TRV is not required).

TWP is a work authorization
while
TRV is for you to enter Canada
