job offer letter is a big advantage.. show it.. tho kya hoova if property is not on ur name.. ur dad name muz hav been mentioned..

I'm in Montreal/ Quebec now, I applied TRV to New York on April 9th cause I need to leave soon and come back
For those who waiting for their passports back:
-I sent my application together with my sister (2 passports in 1 envelope) on April 9th
-they received on april 11th
-mine was stamped on may 12th, my sister's on may 19th
-they sent them back on may 23rd
-i received both (in 1 envelope) on may 27th

so howcome it happened so quick for u.. v r waiting for 4 months and u got it in 45 days .. thats strange... so wt special did u do ???

4 months is reallly too much...Have you tried to contact them yet? if not:
-send them email (general enquiry, not the case specific enquiry)
-Give them last name, first name, date of birth, place of birth, and file number ( if you know),
-tell them when you sent it and when they received it ( if you have tracking information)
-tell them your flight schedule + your plans.

@bright mind.. well i have mailed them 3 or 4 times and i faxed them as well but no response .. they are quite as if they are deafs and blinds.. i am helpless.. cant do anything...

and the worst part is that as i am a marine engineer and work on ships and without passport and my seaman service book and other documents i cant go on ship to continue my job so i am sitting at home for nothing and jux waiting for them to respond so it really suxx man.. no idea wt to do????

uhm... do you have tracking information & confirm that they received it? what did you apply for and where did you apply to?

well i applied for a study permit at CHC Islamabad, Pakistan.. and yes i have a file number.. i applied on 7th feb and got medical on 24march.. then they called me on 4th of may and asked me to mail them my email addresses, phone numbers, travel history and if i have anyother passport.. i was told that its a security check and v will return ur passport in two weeks but i havent heard anything from them as yet..
