Any faster way to obtain the Canadian Citizenship?!

Hi,

I am currently a Canadian Permanent Resident and I just became eligible to apply for Canadian Citizenship. I was looking at the "Canadian Citizenship General Processing Time for Routine Applications" ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/cit-processing.asp ) and I was just wondering if there is a faster way or is there something to be done to avoid this time?!

Hello, just curious on why you think there would be a faster way?

Why would you want the citizenship faster? The government has to do some background checks too like criminal record, tax filing, etc. It usually takes about 1 to 2 years, so just relax take it easy and enjoy the ride.

After 36 months, spend $3500 to $5K and get a writ of mandamus, and save yourself 1-2 years.
