I Disagree.

If CIO thinks a guy is ok with his duties as 0213 Manager then there is no logical way CHC to deny it. its contradictory. Its like angels are denying what GOD has approved.

He might have now provided enough proof that he is an IT manager.

No offence Meant but

As far as my experience goes CIO does not see any documents its just evaluates the info you give on a set form and a covering letter from CIC approved Lawyer .
Based on that they give the go ahead

The VO has to review the docs to see what the applicant is claiming is true or not

The applicant can claim for any profession eligible under the sun,but his supporting documents have to speak for themselves and the language of the documents is understood by the VO not CIO

I am Sure you will agree that The VO is an Extension of CIO and not just a rubber stamp.

i agree with destination BC and barsindo. the job of CIO-NS was jst to see if as per ministerial instructions, the conditions are met by one's application. the decision still lies w/the VO who checks/verifies all documents

even with post jun26 applications, i believe the same procedures apply eventhough applicants are now required to submit all docs to cio-ns. this, according to them, is to further shorten processing time since the 120-day period of submission of full app is removed

good luck everybody

CIO Sydney now determines if you have sufficient points if not it will be refused, and you should note the following instructions from OP 06

7.2. Assessing applications against the Ministerial Instructions effective June 26, 2010
The CIO will assess the applicant’s submission as-is and make a final determination of eligibility
under the MI. To be eligible for processing, the applicant must meet all the criteria described in the
MI. If the application is eligible for processing, the applicant will be informed. Once processing has
begun, the cost recovery fee is no longer refundable.
