Hi Gre2can,
Thanx for the reply.
It took 2 and half months for us to get the medical request after 2nd AOR. We have got the appointment for next week.
Rprf also came along with that.
So we send it in cad to the bank in paris. Later, we found out that the website indicates 360 Euros has to be paid to be equivalent of 980 CAD. This was not mentioned in our letter from Paris and that meant we had sent lesser amount when converted in Euros as it was a European bank. Besides, our bank informed that according to the new rule, commission will be deducted from both parties which cannot be avoided. This would mean that we will not be sure whether we have sent the exact amount or not. So to avoid all these problems, and to prevent our fees from returning, we have cancelled the transfer.
It appears that it is better to pay by a certified cheque or draft.
Now the problem is that we are not sure whether we should make the cheque payable to canadian embassy or receiver general for Canada?
I couldnt copy the link so i have pasted the page from website for France.
It Says..

By bank draft or certified cheque drawn on a Canadian bank and made out to the Canadian Embassy. Cheques issued in Canadian dollars by a bank located outside of Canada must clearly indicate the bank correspondent’s complete address and account number in Canada, this being the establishment through which the cheque may be cashed in Canada.
The bank draft or certified cheque must be sent with the application. Any cheque that is not certified, or any postal money order will be returned to the applicant with the application
Do you have any idea?
