Dear Sohel09

Nice to get your mail. I am from Bangladseh. I received AOR (FSW) in july 2008 and application transferred to Sydney NS on 10 March 2009 by singapore office. I work as a marketing manager. Probably they will refuse my application as my job is not under 38 NOC list. I am waiting for their reply whether they will process my application or the money back.

What about you ? When did you apply ? Pls. share any information regarding my case ?

Thanks

Syed

Hello syedrahman1980,

It is a big pleasure to know from you. What a pity it will be in case of denial any application. I just wonder, how come such sad matters may take place. Was there not a deadline or kind of rules that NEW NOC38 would be applied only to those who had started their PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT of Immigration process on the date of its taking effect!!!! NOT THOSE APPLICATIONS WHICH ARE ALREADY IN THE QUEUE. Am I right?!

Whatever, let me pray for you and wish all the best.

Well, I applied for Québec Skilled Worker. My application was first filed in Hong Kong on 31st July, 2006, had my interview on 21 June, 2007, received CSQ (Québec Selection Certificate) on 28 May, 2008. Applied for PR to the Federal Immigration Authority (CIC/CHC Singapore). My application was filed there on 13 Aug, 2008. Received AOR on 12 Aug, 2008, Medical Instructions, on 25 Aug, 2008. Medical done and sent on 24th Sep, 2008. Usually, in such cases for Québec applicants, cases are processed much faster (3-5 months from Singapore) than others as Québec had already finished all background checks. However, very sadly, my application is still IN PROCESS since Aug13, 2008. I emailed them thrice to know about my application's status. Never received any reply from the CIC. I have posted my questions in several forums like this one. Some people asked me to have patience. Some asked to ask for CAIPS. All I know is, IT IS GOING VERY SLOW.....Do you have any idea whether, it is always the same with Bangladesh nationals! Thank you in advance for your precious time.

Keep waiting, which NOC category do you fall in?
Why did you apply as Quebec Provincial nominee rather than a FSW Category?
Syed, bad luck for you. hope for better moments for the econonomy when this 38 rule would be revoked.

Hi jnathan,

It is nice to have you in the forum. Well, I applied for Quebec, because I have good friends there, I speak good french and above all I love french culture. I can not really tell you how it corresponds to Federal NOC however, according to Quebec, it is 6441 which is a tourist guide and itinerary planner.

Thank you once again.

Well you are much different. 99% of Bangladeshis apply to CIC for Skilled worker based immigration.
And I am sure bulk of the Bangladeshis come here for tips on Skilled based immigration.
Hope I will be having some tips from you when I would be applying in the net 3-4 months.

Dear Bangladeshi friends
Sohel09 & jnathan

Thank you very much for your reply.

I believe immigration rules are same for all.

I agree with Sohel09 that CIC should assess apllicants in the context of 38 NOC list who have applied after the list is published. Lets see if they consider it. I am waiting for their letter to decide my next step.

Keep in touch and share your ideas, views & experience. Good luck.

Bangladeshi friends pls join.

Hi there,

We (me & my wife) are planning to immigrate to Canada. My wife can be qualified for FSW as her profession is listed on the list of 38 profession category. However, I am thinking of moving to Quebec though I know very little FRENCH and my wife knows none. The reason behind that Quebec is cheaper and you can study at a lower cost than any other province.

I am working as a Trade Marketing Manager and my wife is a University Teacher. Can anyone please share with me how the decision of moving to Quebec would be? Without any knowledge of FRENCH, will we qualify for Quebec?

I'll appreciate your posts regarding this. Valo thakben.

Hello Zaahid;

Thank you very much for your question/s. Well, although this time I will try to answer you within my best capacity, however, from next time/postings I would very much appreciate if you kindly write/make your postings under the well-known thread of "All Bangladeshi Applicants Forum".

Well, if your wife falls/qualifies under the NOC38 list and can score the minimum points for FSW Criteria; then I suppose that you can also get qualified for FSW programme.

Now, according to your descriptions, with your (along with your wife) French knowledge it will be almost or absolutely impossible to qualify for Québec, unless you can score full points from all other required factors/questions.

However, it is also true that Québec is not only Cheap to stay and study, you can also find there better options for accommodation.

At this point, I can only advise you, Please go for FSW programme and make it successful first. Once you will reach there and receive the "Permanent Resident Card",it will be your world to move and stay and work or study anywhere you like. At least that is what I have read once somewhere in this Forum.

Good-luck!
