Hi All,

In response to a case query that I've made to Warsaw yesterday, they replied that my application is still pending medical assessment for my kids and background checks (N.B in July this year WVO enquired about medical reports for my kids and whether they've undergone medicals or not. obviously they did in February 2013 (same time with me) and all results were forwarded and received by Paris VO on the same day, anyway I sent them back all the receipts as proof of performance)

what frustrates me is that they haven't done any progress on my case since July 2013, knowing that they informed me that they already requested from Paris VO to liaise with my DMP for getting copies of my kids medical assessment, but no progress!!!!

I'm really confused and worried now, our medicals will expire Feb. 16th 2014 and Warsaw VO still didn't get the medical assessment results of my kids!!

Hello Hassan,

I understand your frustration, a friend of mine applied from Dubai to London VO and had a newborn after he sent his medical exam. so the passport request was delayed 15 months after he submitted his medical exams, but he was asked to go another medical exam with his wife and they received the passport request within less than 2 months after his 2nd medical exam. Last month he received his passports with visas stamped on them.
I don't know whether the delay happened because of his newborn or not.

It is normal, so don't lose hope.

Thanks Cesar,

I still didn't loose hope, as a matter of fact I'm trying :)

good to know that there are some few cases like that and its not just someone's mistake of uploading medical assessments to the tool or not, or even something else...

but thanks anyway for sharing your friend's case :)

Hi Hassan,

it always happens, dont worry. if your medicals expires either they will renew it automatically (they can till 3 months after the expiry) or maximum you will redo your medicals. usually youll get ppr after 3-4 months tops even less after second medical.

we had same thing i was added to my husband app. and after hubby's medical expiry they asked him to redo it and we got the ppr after 4 months. two weeks later we got the visas.

Thanks Aline,

fingers are crossed :)

1-in order to keep your permanent resident card you need to stay 3 out of 5 years. (so basically you can stay out of canada for 2 years) but it is not recommended to stretch it that long, i mean by that that you land come back than stay for 2 years out than go back again, border officers might make it hard since they consider days (counting will be in days)
2- for citizenship you need to stay 3 years in the last 4 years in order to apply.

Thank you Aline,
But I was just reading another thread and they wrote that I have to stay 2 years out of 5 years in Canada to maintain my PR status.
Thank you,
