Any 12 months period of working experience to gain 1950 hours?

So far, I knew that graduation students need 1950 hours total working hours in 12 month to be qualified. It does matter part-time or full-time. If they do not, they need to gain 3900 hours in 36 months.

If I am correct, my question is if that 12 month could be any period?

My situation is kind of complecated. My 1st job is part time which is 6.5 hrs per day. My 2nd job is full time which is 8 hours per day. I just start my 3rd job recently. If the 1 year period counting from my 1st working day of my 1st job, it does not have 1950 hours. However, if I count from middle of the period of my 1st job taking up to 12 months including my 3rd job, I am qualified.

Dude I am not a lawyer or consaltant but my understanding is you do not need to consider your total working hours within 12 months.. The thing is immigration Canada requies you to work total 1950 hours. You can make those hours in 7 months or 17 months or 27 months. It is up to you. I guess it has to be within 2 years or something. as long as you can get a reference letter with an acceptable NOC number, you can give all your work experiecens or some of them.

If you read http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/graduates.asp you will see that they will take 1 year full time work experience or equivalent and that it must be gained after graduation but within 2 years of applying so basically, you have 2 years to make up your 1950 hours. It is also explained on page 9 of this guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5609E.PDF where it states 12 months of full time work experience or equivalent over a 24 month period so it's up to you if you take some 12 month period in the middle of these 2 years or if you just add up hours until you have 1950.

I would like to add up to 1950 hours. However, that will take me 14 months. I am not sure if that is OK. All the documents just mentioned 12 months or 1 year full time working experience. Does my case belong to "EQUIVELENT"?
I do not know if immigration officer will only check 1950 hours with 12 months, not 14 months.

In my opinion, your case belongs to equivalent but when in doubt, call CIC and ask.

14 months is OK. Yes, this is what they mean by "equivalent."
