Hi all,

When i came to Canada, i lived in a hotel for 2 months or so b4 i rented an apartment. Guess i need to provide this address also.
The question is , should i just provide the street number and name in the CIT0002 form, like "1920 Avenue Lincoln"? Or should i also provide the name of the hotel, like "Hotel California, 1920 Avenue Lincoln" ?

Thanks a lot.

Do you have the payment receipt of your hotel stay. Put the same address that it shows up. In case if they ask for additional info you need that receipt as proof.

I just wrote the address of the hotel

I stayed in a backpackers hostel for my first few months in Canada. I simply included the street address of the hostel, though I can't imagine it actually matters. You lived where you lived.

My apologies, I should have pointed out that my experience was with PR, not citizenship; obviously it went through fine.

Best of luck to you

They haven't asked for clarification on that yet

I mean, you received AOR right? that is all i need for now. As long as my package is received with no rejection by them, i am fine.

Address is in no way related to AOR. Your application will not be returned for mentioning or omitting the hotel's name. Your application may be returned if you have a gap in address history.

Back to original question, it doesn't matter if you list or do not list the hotel name. That's up to you. Many people stayed in hotels in the relevant 4 year period some of which wrote down the name and some didn't. This has not been an issue that anyone encountered.

I have similar situation, after moving to a new city I lived in a hotel for around 3 weeks or so. I am thinking of writing the Hotel name and address under the address section. Just curious, what did you write under the "Apt No" column ? did you write the hotel suite/room number you stayed at or just wrote "N/A" in there ?
