I am an Indian National applying as principal applicant for Express Entry via Federal skilled workers. My husband and 2 children will also be accompanying me. My husband is a Nepalese and has family property in Nepal, which can be submitted as proof of funds.

My question is that as an Indian National will the Canadian Immigration Authority in India accept that as proof of funds. If not, what could be my options?

Thanks in advance

Yes, I believe funds from ur husband should be fine. Make sure these funds are liquid funds which can be readily enchased. Immovable property doesn't count. Funds being in a bank account in nepal shouldn't be a problem, assuming those can be readily accessed.

These funds could be in the form of:

- cash
- documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.), or
- documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

Hello house, please I would love to know if the funds can be in my local currency or in Canadian currency?
I'm from Nigeria and I'm wondering if having the naira equivalent of the said funds in my naira account will do or do I necessarily need to have a Canadian or US dollar account and have the funds in liquid cash or something??

Nigeria naira is fine. They covert it to cad using the official exchange rate.
