Ok.

I am planning on submitting my application for spousal sponsorship of my husband around May 1 (once I get in all final documentation). One of the things I am waiting on is an Option C print out. I was going to call in today to request it, however, my taxes for last year have not yet been submitted.

Thus. Do I wait to submit taxes, and then request and Option C form? Or do I request option C which will be of the year 2010.

EEK. :o

yes you can send 2010 option -c , dont worry
we didnt give anything
best of luck

I wouldn't even wait for 2010 Option c. I would just send my 2010 Notice of assessment and 2011 T4 along with 2011 pay stubs.

UGH. I just called CRA and apparently I do not even have taxes submitted for 2010. They went to the accountant, so I don't know what happened. SO stressful!

Thus. Now my pressing issue is:
Do I wait a month and send in Option C for 2011, or send in the Option C for 2009.

If I send in my 2009 Option C, is it going to negatively affect me somehow because 'I didn't file taxes for 2010'. I think I need a new accountant.

Do you have all your T4's and paystubs I would add that to my package and send with a letter from my employer validating my salary.

and later on fax in my Option C printout for 2011 once I receive it.

Use the search function on the forum to see what others have done! or repost your question and make it urgent so that others reply as well!

My opinion is to send in option c 2009, plus all your current paystubs for 2011, plus an employment letter. Cover that with an explanation letter that you have not filed your taxes due to (mistake?) by accountant (or however you want to word it) but plan on filing immediatly, and do so. Then once you have filed both years of taxes, obtain your option c or notice of assessment and fax them in to the vo. But I am of the mind that a complete application is better. Just my opinion still.

Thanks. :)

I wouldn't be as stressed about it if the Stage 1 was still at 55 days for approval. But since it is at 84 now, I really want to get it in before it reaches who knows how many days.

But I also acknowledge the emphasis on a complete application package. I could wait up to 6 weeks for 2011 Option C print out (10 weeks for 2010), but maybe that wait of 6 weeks is shorter than the delay caused in sending multiple parts.

AGH.

GREAT minds think alike. Thats exactly how I feel. it took me a long time to put together my complete app. My employer was giving me the runaround on a job letter..not a problem to issue it, she just kept forgetting to do it, and it really irritated me, and ppl were telling me just send it without, but my mind said no just wait. It did delay my send in date. as I really wanted it to complete the app, and whether or not it had any effect on our approval, we got thru so fast and with ease, that I have to believe that having everything on the checklist helped. I literally sent it in and we really didnt have to do another thing and 4 months later my husband had his visa.

So I notice that you got your sponsorhip approval fairly fast, CharlizeRai! What did you do in the end about the Option C?

Hey,

What ended up happening in the first application package (horrible mailing/my error, we had to redo our application package), was that I had written a letter and explained what the mix up was, and attached some payment stubs as proof. However, when we redid our package, I had received our option C, so the package they looked at the had the option C included. :)
