Hi,

I am going to apply CEC as fast food restaurant assistant manager.

Is there any minimum annual salary request for applying to CEC?

Because I worked part-time basis so it is less than average salary for full-time manager.
Will it be problem?

Please give me some of your advice and experience!!

salary is not a primary constraint. If it's a part-time it should be equivalent to full time. I believe they consider they max average hours worked per week which i think would be 40 . In other way, they can also calculate it based on the total annual salary as there is a defined min hourly wage for every province. So if the VO is looking at it in depth, he might do a total salary received/minimum hourly wage to determine the possible number of hours worked per week. you never know... its all guess work for us. to be sure in all directions consider above calculations as well.

This is not correct i'm afraid:

Full time hours is considered 30 hours a week. Anything over this is not counted.

If you work part-time (up to 15 hours a week) then you realize that you will need to have 2 years experience (assuming you maintain the 15hours/week arrangement). 1 year experience refers to full time - or the equivalent in part time experience.

Your salary would be reflected in your T4 for the period for which you are claiming under CEC, in conjunction with your reference letter which states your salary.

Btw be careful with your noc as 6311 is not currently part of CEC eligibility - there are a lot of similarities between supervisor and assistant manager - just make sure your reference letter covers it properly.

I have a question regarding annual salary too.

I am paid $17.5 per hour, and I work 35-40 hours per week. So I dont have annual salary at all, it depends on hours of work that I do.

What should I put as annual salary, or should I just put that I paid per hour not per month?

Thanks!

That's not correct, if you work 15 hrs per week for 50 years that won't be enough to be eligible for CEC, only 30+ hrs per week will be counted towards experience.
You are not right. On CIC website it says: "have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply"

So 2 years in part time would count as 1 year of full time

Assuming that someone works 15 hours per week, ljiljka and lpc19800 are correct, they could be eligible for CEC after 2 years of work...

Yes, give the details of your remuneration exactly as you are paid. In the letter of employment, it should state that your wages are $17.5 per hour. You can also say something like "over the past 12 months, the total earnings were... " to give an annualized equivalent.

Yes, you can convert part-time hours into equivalent full-time weeks. I notice that the advice on how to do this has disappeared from the CIC help page. Not sure why that is. But basically*:

Any week with 30 hours or more = one full-time week
Any week with less than 30 hours = divide by 30 to get the number of equivalent full-time weeks

The total should be 52 full-time weeks (i.e. 1,560 hours) or more.

* If your full-time job has a weird work pattern like 80 hours every second week, but that's a regular pattern over the course of 12 months, and it equates to 30+ hours per week, apparently this satisfies the requirement (see here).
