BTW, I think there are no VO beside Ankara in the Middle East, and I think that is why the process is going slower than other countries. I guess Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and a few other countries are connected to Ankara. This means a lot of files for Ankara.

If you'll look at the timelines of finalized applications in 2019, Ankara was wrapping up the process in just 2 to 3 months. They seem to have slowed down in the last 2 months or so. Probably because of summer vacations. Who knows.

Probably. Also as you know in Turkey, there are so many public holidays. I hope they get to work as soon as possible

Hi all,
My husband received a call, they cancelled the interview as if he has passed, they will call back for visa.
It sounds good but I don't want to give myself much hope because it has been too much with this application.
Brief, I started this sponsorship 13th August 2017, 1 year and a month now , it was returned 3 times for incompleteness I lost 7 months, I was about to go crazy!!
I am at the point where I don't trust what they say I just wait to see I have done, I am so tired with this.

ECAS does not update for biometrics. It's very normal.
ecas is an older system, built in the days when biometrics was not required by cic/ircc.

You will get an email soon to submit your spouses passport, i got a pre-arrival letter on June 29th and i got the email on Tuesday July 3rd and my mistake I flew all the way to Turkey from Canada to submmit my wifes passport thinking i will get the visa right away.

Well that did not happend since i arrived on Wednesday and submitted on the same day not realizing there was a weekend coming up. I am stuck in Ankara since and waiting for visa to be issued. that being said, I do recommend him to come in personally because i saw them with my own eyes dropping passports and passing passports like its just a paper. Don’t give it to tours to bring it to Ankara.

Just wanted to see if anyone has recently (within the last few months or so) received an invitation for interview at the Ankara VO for Iranian applicants? If so, please share your experience and timeline and if you received your PPR on the day of or at a later date, if so how much time passed until you heard back?
