Hi guys
I hope you are all well, I was browsing on the other group the Iranian version, and I saw that someone said that Ankara usually gives DM between 3rd to 13 th of each months, I was wondering if you guys know anything about this? Also I was surprised that how many people are still waiting since last April. Let's hope we are getting some good news soon

I believe they have a huge backlog with applications. They have to make decisions on 2016 applications and 2017 has to be finalized within a year. plus summer is around the corner, officers are going on vacation. God please help us.

The last time I remember people getting PPR was back in Jan- Feb and here are the dates from our forum. This shows 7 applicants got it from "Jan 18 to Jan 26" and 2 applicants from "Feb 8 to Feb 21". I think there was a Turkish guy who got it sometime as well but that's all the applicant I remember. Someone may modify and complete the list. Maybe Jan-Feb was different because of the Christmas vacation but that's the statistics we have from this thread. I hope there will be a news by next week in this thread.

Arash-Civil DM Jan 17, PPR Jan 18
Cyclist PPR Jan 19
Ottawaguy PPR Jan 20
Mojdeh .s PPR Jan 21
pmc92 PPR Jan 25
hniazi86 PPR Jan 25
Ashkan PPR Jan 26 (male applicant)
HRi DM Jan 27, PPR Feb 8
Delusive PPR Feb 21
Naghmehazgomi file 18 Oct, DM 20 March, PPR 21 March (male applicant from Persian forum)

Can you please invite everyone to join this thread and add their name to the Excel sheet? Also I forgot what is your profile name over there? I will add it in the excel file to know it is not a duplicate applicant.

Agreed, seems like they're swamped with 2016 and 2017 applicants..
It's the only thing that bothers me, what if they receive security check results but the officer who was currently working on the file will go on vacation :( I really hope that's not the case and it will be handled by someone else once security results are received!
They can't keep us there any longer, it's way better for them to finish with 2016 applicants and just focus on 2017 ones! I feel that the end of this torture is near, keep on praying!

IS there any Georgian, Russian, Azarbayjan or Jordan forum you can find more applicants?

As I already told you, there was one guy from a Russian forum whose case was handled by both Ankara and Warsaw and he received PPR in exactly one year not too long ago. As for others from that forum, most people applied either through Warsaw or Moscow and most of them received PPR within 10 months..

I also looked through some Azerbaijani forums yesterday, but their topics are very old from 2007-2009. They all said that Ankara is one of the slowest visa offices and that they had to wait a long time just for an interview, and for the entire process it took 1-2 years. (This is old information, so I doubt it relates to us)
Recent postings are about education and work in Canada.

If anyone could get any type of paid/unpaid leave from her/his employer in Canada based on emotional stress, etc to stay with her/his spouse (more than 3-4 weeks) can you please share your experience with me? Can we use short term disability benefit for that?

You have to ask your husband to fill and sign the consent form and send you the scan and then you apply online and it is $5. It takes 30 calendar days to get it. It may give you some idea where the file is stuck but if it will be security they white out the security parts and you will not be able to get much info. But you will also know who is the officer (the initials). I ordered it three times so far. The third one I haven't received for 60 days now and it is strange. Anyways I would go for it for sure if I was you and it doesn't hurt. Mona_Momeni, Ahmelina, Smirio, and myself got it. I don't remember others.

If your doctor request that you need to stay out of work due to anything , it doesn't matter the reason you could go on leave with pay but there is a process for it and your job is not really secured after you go back . It happened to a friend of mine and they let him gob, they gave him a package but he got laid off. If you can work it out with your boss that's a different story.

I added the finalized cases to the Excel sheet as well. There is almost equal # of in process and finalized application based on this forum thread.
