1) Hmm. Not sure. MED could be the system he used to inquire. The case officer's initials he was in touch with? Clearly MED as "MEDICAL" doesn't work in this situation. Maybe Mediation?SubZero_2 said:I have a question folks, I asked my MP to follow up on my case with Ankara this is the result he got :
I did this query on Monday 2014-02-03 with MED:
======================================
2013-08-28 - Application received
Nothing in CICV note
= not reviewed
= in queue for initial review
PPT (Posted Processing Time) is 15 months
=
2014-11-28
Is the Est time of completion.
======================================
here are my questions:
1) What is MED?
2)Is it really true (the "Is the Est time of completion" part) ?
Thanks
15 Months is just a number they standardized. Highly doubt that will be the case for sub_zeroSooMazi said:1) Hmm. Not sure. MED could be the system he used to inquire. The case officer's initials he was in touch with? Clearly MED as "MEDICAL" doesn't work in this situation. Maybe Mediation?
2) I looked at the spreadsheet and saw you were approved to sponsor on 28-Aug-2013, so this estimated time of completion is at the 15 month mark (the 80% completed time for Ankara according to CIC). I wouldn't put a lot of weight in this estimate time date as this is probably a standard response being given.
Yes, they should be updating it soon. If I remember correctly back in October there was a delay in the update, it was not exactly at the 3 month mark. So probably next week it should be updated.negmeg said:Hey All,
shouldn't we get an updated timeline on CIC for processing time in ANKARA?
I thought they update it every 3 months...shouldn't this happen for end of January?
Correct me if I am wrong?

Yes, it is for this reason I encourage everyone who is just reading this forum and not joining in, to please share their timeline so all of us can be better informed to what is going on in Ankara.distcom said:It is so much "No News" from Ankara for us. I wish somebody could walk to the embassy in Ankara and ask the timeline of those who get their visa issued these days. It seems we are a small number of visa waiters, and do not have much information about what is going on.

This is true. That would have been great if we heard from the majority of applicants. That would have been an amazing knowledge of rough estimated waiting time for everyone. Sharing this page could be a good way to let more people to know about it.SooMazi said:Yes, it is for this reason I encourage everyone who is just reading this forum and not joining in, to please share their timeline so all of us can be better informed to what is going on in Ankara.
That's right. I expect roughly 5-6 visa issuance each working day on average but we don't hear about them. So, knowing about the timeline of those who get their visa issued would be wonderful knowledge. Which is not easy to access the knowledge.lboxixodl said:Ankara visa office issued 1,453 from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013
we have only 2%-3% application timelines that applied for spouses & partner, some of them never use internet for gather information. and some of them never knowns about or forum.
maybe many applications received PPR letter during this days but we never inform about them.
By the way, I knew that would have been the response from Ankara, just standard and nothing meaningful. For MED part I too think is the officer's initiales and nothing important there either.....now for the 15 months, like everyone answered you it is ......SooMazi said:1) Hmm. Not sure.
