We are next sweety, and if I am not mistaken they have extended the medical since it expires in february and they put due date june...the only thing that mix me up is that there is a validity date too, which is different too...oh well I guess we have to wait for the ppt request and I know they are doing a review final verification...we will know for sure, I am guessing you will have news before us since your app. is a week earlier than ours, can't believe that soon this will be behind us! But made a promise to help ppl that are still on this forum and waiting ;)

I'm pretty sure after the strike they had going in the summer, the backlog must be now cleared... I think all the VO got what they wanted and should be happy about the raise , also feel f*** guilty about the mess they created for ppl's lives... I hope a lot of you that have waited enough get your passport request fast. I still have 5-6 months left!!

Hi Guys
I was wondering if some seniors with proper knowledge can help me out.
I have my PR and I plan to get married officially in late March 2014, Since Im going back home for short visit and official marriage and ceremony over there and because I can not stay too much over there, we plan to make everything as fast/efficient as we can.
So the question is can she perform the medical exams before our marriage certificate officially gets granted?
Or the panel physician needs marriage certificate before any examination.
then if she performs the medical exams before the date of marriage certificate, wouldn't be any problem in future for our application in case if officer doubts about the trusty of our documents, I mean date issues.
Thanks guys

Dear friends,

I have sponsored my wife 7 months ago and her application for PR status is still at "Application Received". How long does it roughly take for PR application status change to "In Process"? Should I order GCMS note at this stage? Or, should I wait till her status changes to "In Process". Is there any link to information on how to order GCMS notes? How many times one can order GCMS notes?

I appreciate your help and feedback.

Happy New Year to all of you and hope we all received good news soon.

welcome to this forum my friend

its better to do medical a day before sending your application. don't hurry for medical examination. its wast your time only 2 hour.

and about your question, I think its better that do medical after marriage certificate.

Hi. For medical examination there is no need for marriage certificate, as far as I remember. But, there might be a problem of indicating that you are jumping to immigration process, a bad impression on the officer responsible for your case I guess. Do not rush for the medical exam, it just takes a couple of hours to be done. If you yourself are gathering the documents and submitting the application rather than hiring a lawyer,I strongly recommend you to read the instructions of applying thoroughly two or three times before you leave Canada because there are lots of things necessary for a complete application that you might not know. Make sure that you know what to do with the application before going to your fiance unless you might lose a great deal of time, incomparable with that saved by attending medical exam sooner.
