Police certificate is valid for three months before applying. If it's fresher than 3 months at a date of application then it is valid for a year. Usually, they do not request the certificate again, but happens. You can both mail or take the passport to Ankara. Both way works. In the first case, you will need to wait a week or ten days for passport to go to Ankara and back. You should send the passport only after you received the passport request. Did you receive it yet?

We had to resend the police clearance again, have not received the PPR yet, just checking what options are available ...thanks for replying Godzilla

I'm new to the site and I also wanted to see how processing times goes with everybody and wanted to share my experience. So I live in Edmonton, Im Turkish and a citizen and I sent my application on December, 21,2012 and CIC received my application on December, 31, 2012 and sponsorship approval is January 22, 2013 and ECAS status changed to in process on Jan 24. After couple of weeks stage 2 status changed to Medical received. This whole process is so confusing so what I dont get it, if your status on Stage 2 changes to "In Process" does that mean Ankara is reviewing your application?

Last year my cousin applied for his wife and he applied in Feb and she got her visa on June 7th it was so fast, now its so damn slow its my luck i think

Don't worry as I know for Turkish the process would be fast I think you will get your ppr before this summer so for you all steps are on time till now and if you feel bad you can compare yours with mine since I have submitted my application last November and it has not changed to "in process" yet so you are lucky

As far i know its faster for Turkish people and im so sorry to hear about yours thats a long time omg may god give you patients im going to Turkey in May i wanna come back with my husband hopefully he will get his visa by the time.

I noticed that the only spreadsheet that is maintained for current Ankara applicants is not updated regularly and has applicants from 2010 whose timeline does not concern new applicants.

I have created a spreadsheet with a nicer look and better formulas (e.g. average day for each stage).

The main focus here will be on applicants who have applied in 2012 after Ankara office became a regional office dealing with other counties including Iran (following closure of Damascus office). So if you file was directly sent to Ankara from the start and you are not transferred from other office this is your thread. The reason for this is because by adding older applicants timeline the calculation for average days will be thrown off. Those apps already have all their info on the older spreadsheet.

I have already added some people I knew their timeline from Damascus thread. Please feel free to send me your timeline (either by Private Message or leaving a comment here).
