AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CLAIMING REFUGEE FROM WITHIN

I have a friend currently looking forward to applying for refugee status from within......He ask me a qstn but couldnt answer..He is currenlty an international student with visa expiring Sep 2015

If his application is turned down,is he automatically subject to removal order and can his common law girl friend sponsor him afterwards??

Pls help.

if he's in a common law relationship, why doesn't he just apply for commonlaw sponsorship. i would imagine the success rate is a lot higher than refugee status, and takes less time.

He said he currently have....only 2 joint bank accounts...RBC and T.D BANKS...RENT AGREEMENT FORMS and his girlfriends mom and a close friend promised to write them letters,,,,,But he sill feels that he doesnt have enough.....What more

that seems to be consistent with what other commonlaw spouses submit. also any utility, phone or credit card bills that have both of their names will work. of course, pictures and other proof of their relationship. my suggestion is to search for commonlaw sponsorship threads and read what others submit.

If "your friend" is in a real common law relationship then he should go with the option of being sponsored as a common law spouse rather than going the refugee route. The refugee route is a bad idea unless he is truly (TRULY) a genuine refugee and feels he can prove it without a shadow of a doubt (and has hard evidence). If he can't prove it, then CIC will decide he's just using the refugee claim as a way of remaining in Canada. A failed refugee claim will then complicate a common law sponsorship application since it creates the impression that he using the relationship as a means of staying in Canada after a failed refugee claim.

Long story short, better to go the common law route and forget refugee if the relationship is a real one. Note that you MUST have lived together for a minimum of one full year in order for her to sponsor you (and you must be able to prove that you have lived together for one full year). In a post earlier this month, you mentioned that you have only lived together for 7 months at this point. You'll need to wait until you hit 1 full year.

Man stop pretending and be truthful to people on the forum . You needed help with the same things, you had same relastionship prove as who ever you are posting on behalf off Are you not the same guy seeking help on how to prove common law with a woman Who is separated from her husband ? I remember you listing all those things you are listing now as the prove you have with this woman etc . Now it someone else or a friend ! Looks like you are trying everything posible to remain in Canada . You seem too desperate to me and I pray you don't use an innocent soul for pr in your desperation ! Just be truthful at least coz it sucks to read from you pretending . You've posted so many conflicting things that seem to suggest to me you are desperate . Do the right thing. Go about things the right way . Plz dont use the woman you said is separated if it for just that purpose coz karma won't forgive you . I may be wrong but after reading things you've posted over time . Plz dont use anyone if you don't love them . Unless it a coincidence that your friend and you have the same or similar situations ! Be truthful to forum members on here .

Look at his early posts and you could see he was an international student. He even asked on another thread, about his "friend" visa expiring in Sept 2015, but this time, says it's a "she". Even on one thread, he says his own student visa was expiring in 2015. ;D ;D And on his recent posts, he just said he and his gf have a RBC and TD bank account

exactly he thinks we forget so soon or something ! We are not stupid! See where I come from we tell people things like that in their face! This guy is not honest . Maybe he think we are dumb or something . Sorry but I sense an innocent divorcee may just be used for pr with the desperation I see .this guy is desperate to remain in Canada and from what I see he won't stop at nothing Untill he's granted pr any means posible

exactly he must be so stupid to think forum members does not know his true intentions , I know people don't want to be harsh on him or something because maybe that's not Canadians ways of dealing with people like him, but it getting too much this guy is always posting this same thing. I saw that a while ago and I was like damn! I can't imagin how the innocent woman will feel to know what he's posting on here. After going through a divorce only to be used by some guy from where ever for selfish and greedy purposes ( moc) pr He has some nerves to come on here to ask a bunch of honest couples question like that! When you are clearly not being honest.

Since this forum (and website) is provided by a law firm...and since every post has a corresponding IP address, that connects back to the user that makes a post...perhaps the law firm will take it upon themselves to share this with CIC.

Me too, I hate those kind of guys, they ruin the integrity of our immigration system. I seriously hope this guy never gets PR.

exactly I hope they do something about that . Read through this guys post and the evidence is clear! I doubt if they will do that though because of privacy issues . I think the ip narrows it down to the city and not to the persons house does it ?
