Hi Everyone,

Wonder if anyone could help please?

I just checked my ECAS and apparently IRCC has sent me a correspondence few days back and asked for some documents etc to be submitted to them. The request has been emailed to my lawyer and he is not in town for a while. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out what is the content of the correspondence sent by IRCC?

Many thanks

Revenant
mine has said that as well but it seems ecas is just rarely updated. if you cant get the lawyer to check his online key soon, maybe call the 1-888-242-2100 for the automated status line. It seems to be more current than ecas.

Hi there,

Could you please advise if I need to LINK my application in order to see the outlined updates like yours?

Regards

Revenant
if you have a lawyer you cant link, like me. I realize now too the 1-888 number only works from within Canada for some reason. so youd need to do some wizardry with Skype or something or get your spouse in Canada to call.

I see that you were asked for additional documents by VO on Jan 10 2018. May I ask where was the request from, Mississauga or Paris? Also, how do you submit your documents?

Many thanks.

the request came from the visa office in paris. they asked for a precise date of meeting my wife and also proof that I live in Canada, which I thought was an odd request considering my info that was included in the main app.

Dear Jaywill,

Congrats on your Landed Immigrant status.

I believe you applied inland and you were living in Canada while your application was being processed. Also I believe that you did not have a representative who acted on your behalf and your application was linked so you could see all the process by logging into your account on My GIC.

Can you please answer a few questions?

Were you able to see the status below on your application whilst logged into your "MY GIC"?

1 - In Progress
2 - Application Received
3 - In Process
4 - Decision Made
5 - Complete

If so, could you Kindly reply with the date each status was updated?

How long were you living in Canada before submitting your application?
Where did you live before moving to Canada?
Did you submit your Medical along with your application or was it after the AOR1?
Did you submit an RCMP background check - and the countries you lived in before moving to Canada? If so, what date please?

Your signature shows that your Background check was initiated on Feb 15th while your status showed "In Process"! Am I right?
Is this Background check the one that is being conducted by CSIS or related to the schedule A/PCC check?

I have a representative and I am not able to link my application to see the exact status hence I would really appreciate if you could answer these questions so I know where I am with my application.

Kind regards

Revenant
