Hello all, I will be coming to Canada on February, 2018 as a permanent resident. I have been wondering that do I have to bring the exact amount of money that I showed during my application as proof of fund. Presently, I am a bit short from there. One of my friend said I have to bring the minimum amount stated in IRCC for one member i.e 12300 Canadian dollar. Luckily, I have got a job offer in Vancouver which I will be starting from March, 2018. So, my question is will that be a problem if I don't bring the exact money that I showed in my PR application provided that I show the new job offer letter? Additionally, do I have to process any additional documents regarding the job since I only got it one month before and I received COPR on September. I will appreciate if someone helps. Thanks

As per my knowledge, you can go lower or higher from your initial money as long as it meets the minimum requirements stated by IRCC.

You declared in your PR application that you will be bringing this money to Canada so yes, you have to either have it with you or show the proof eg bank statement, that you have the required amount in your bank account or in other form.
