We landed this morning! My husband hates the cold. Anyways the officer at the immigration asked us so many questions but any way he gave him 6 months. So far so good! Waiting for the PR!

thats good , when im at the immigration office they dont ask me any thing just the address to send for me the PR soon , i hate the cold too

Hello!

I'm a Canadian living in Syria with my Syrian husband, and we just submitted our paperwork about a month ago. We got the SA very quickly, and the files have now been transferred to Amman.

I was feeling very hopefully about a speedy process (officially, they're supposed to be expediting Syrian Family Class applications) but looking through this thread I am not feeling so hopeful

The situation here is so bad, and I can't imagine us living like this for another 1-2 years.

Do you have any helpful advice for me? Or anything that might make me feel a bit better?

I also see that many of you tried contacting your MPs throughout your application process, with no luck. I thought the government was supposed to be concerned with the situation here...

Do we have to wait for embassy to request for 2nd medical or can we redo it without their permissions? 1st medical was done in November 2012 and my Application was received in January 2013. Amman office isn't providing much information.

Some MPs are useless. My conservative MP told me he doesn't want to see me until one year has passed. I went to different city liberal MP and he was able to get status update. That's all they can do anyway.
