Salhadin1 said:MashAllah congratulations. I was wondering if you did anything special to receive your visa because I filed it a little before yours and I haven't received anything back yet. I have requested GCMS notes and if it take any longer I will apply for temporary visa. But I was wondering if there are other venues for me to take to speed up the process. My documents were all in order and I provided more pictures and telephone bills then they requested. Also my wife is an Iraqi citizen how about your husband?
Thanks!
yes that's right he is syrian and although he's currently outside that country our residency in uae will expiry very soon and we said that from very beginning, so maybe they did consider that; he didn't do military service so less background checks there but he had so many business trips and travelled so much and i thought it should have taken longersamaseemo said:I think miss minis husband is syrian that could be the reason but i might be mistaken.
our case is truly different because of our different circumstances; i never read of anyone in our situation applying through damascus or amman and i'm around this forum since 2010; at the beginning i was very open and so many discouraged us, saying it will never happen but i always believed in ourselves
that's why i tried to prepare the "perfect application", i did it from a-z but his letters he wrote them in his own words; we did all without lawyer but did spend weeks reading cic website and this forum; it took us 1 year, we paid attention at every detail, organize it as best we could, send a lot of proofs and tried to explain everything; maybe it made a difference, maybe no, at the end we can just speculate; now i can say that sending more will not make the process slower, at the end if they don't want to look over they will skip; on the other hand if u trust urself and u know u have a straight forward case than no need to send too much, just the basic;
what we also did was never bother them with any email, we emailed just once back in july cuz we didn't know where the file was and had some important updates; they answered and we saw from the gcms notes (back in sept) that they did put those updates in file; since july nothing from their side until today
once we get the visa - my mind is focused on that now, i'll give u more details
i'm sure u'll all get sooner or later, especially Khalid, there is a magic day for each of us, just live every day as if u won't get it that day and then u'll see, when u do get it, u need to completely change ur short term plans
