Does anyone know how I can update my wife email address on application I submit in December? I might have forgotten to write it before submitting it. My application has started processing since January 2013. If they need something will they contact both of us or just my wife? Thx

When i ordered my gcms i have the same notes exactly ... My husband told me that is good and the only thing they need is new medical enshaalah kheer ya rab

It seems we have the same timeline.. but my file is in Beirut. I also submitted in Nov 2011, and accepted in Jan 2012. My husband redid medicals in Oct 2012, as we are still waiting... for security check.
It seems like many of the 2011 applicants are stalling (weird) since 2012 applicants I know have already landed!

Who did you put under the contact information on the application? I put only myself and they have been contacting me for everything and not my husband.

I put both of our address and only my email. I have received only mail to confirm they have received my application. Does this mean they will contact me for everything because her address is not deliverable?

Usually anytime they need something they will try sending an email first and since they have your email than I would say yes they will contact you. If they dont receive a response from you, they will try to contact you in another way. The first time they wanted to inform me of my first approval, they sent me a letter via mail ( to my address), after that it was always to my email.

You have to prove you are going back to Canada. Also, you need proof how your going to support him for the next three years example letter from an employee that you are going to work after arrival and the amount your going to receive. I also found in another post, you can also get yours parents to write a letter indicating they will help with the support. Whatever you can do to prove your returning to Canada. You must convince them.

I was in the same situation, I've been living with my husband for 3 years in Lebanon... I wrote a letter with the application explaining that we intend to move back when he gets PR... we never got any questions about it. Just make sure you inform them in writing if your address ever changes.

It is different with every case but most of the posts I read concerning this question everyone says you have to prove that your returning to Canada. I hope it turns out like your situation and they dont ask but its always best to be ready for any questions, incase they do ask.

what is the time frame on background security checks? anyone know?
