Hi there, I tried searching all over the place for this, but couldn't find anything really. Sorry if I missed something. Im married to an american citizen, we got married a couple months ago here in Canada, were planning on having her visit here, and start filing for pr and all that stuff once she comes here, she is worried about crossing the border and them not allowing her across, should she have any problems??

just her personality i suppose, so she can come across, even if they ask she says shes visiting her husband, and if they ask if she plans to live here, she just says she plans on applying for pr?

Few tips
-make sure she tells the border officials that she is just VISITING. Some people accidentally say they are coming to LIVE or MOVE IN with their spouse and if that happens, then officials WILL give you a hard time
-if she is flying to Canada, having a return ticket back to the US will go a long way in convincing officials it is just for a visit

Those are the biggies I can remember.

yes she does have a return ticket, i appreciate the help, i really do. thanks.
Then she should be fine. Every time my wife visited me after we got married, all they asked her was when she plans on going back and if she has a return ticket to show them. Once she did, they let her through without any more questions.

The main point is they want to know she'll have funds to cover her stay so she won't need to work illegally. My wife carried proof of our income with her just in case, but they never asked for it. They never asked to see her return ticket.
