I am an American Citizen who will marry a Canadian Citizen. After our actual ceremony in Canada, how many days can I stay in Canada legally, as a visitor (married) before I have to return to America according to Canadian Law?
How long you will be allowed to stay in Canada as a visitor will be up to the CBSA officer you encounter when you enter Canada. Visitors are often let in for the default six month visit - but always possible you may be allowed in for a shorter period of time. If you want to stay in Canada beyond your allowed visit, you can always try applying for an extension.

Thank you for responding I have a return ticket to come back to the United States a couple of days after the ceremony. I heard a rumor that an American can only stay in Canada 24 hours after the marriage ceremony as a visitor so I was very concerned? It will be my very first time traveling to Canada so the experience with officers feels a bit daunting?

PREFACE: Ask the experts here, don't take my word for granted.
I recall reading that Canada does not have a fiance visa like the US. The intent to marry can make the border agent refuse you (even if you're visa exempt). Much easier probably to marry in the US.

Entry is very rarely refused in this situation. There is generally another reason if there is a refusal, such as showing up with all their worldly belongings.
