Hello,

I'm in a bit of a pickle and trying ot figure if there is any way to pull off getting a TRP for a trip in April 2013.
I am an American but I am resident in the United Kingdom.
I need to apply for a TRP but think I need to apply via an American consulate, not the UK one?
I will be visiting the States (Seattle) from December to January and during this time was hoping to apply in-person to a consulate so that I never have to mail or part with my passport (I can't do this because I cannot risk not getting it back in time to travel back to the UK in January).
However it seems the Seattle consulate doesn't deal with TRPs at all so I'd have to fly to LA?
Does anyone know if I fly to LA I can guarantee a one or two day processing time?

Otherwise it sounds like there is no way for me to do this- unlness I investigate applying as an American through the UK consulate, which seems very unlikely?
Any advice welcome, thanks.

PS: I need TRP because I have a DUI from 2008 and can't afford to be bounced flying from London- need prior clearance. That's my only criminal record and no jail time.

1. You need to apply the Canadian High Commission in London. Note that if 5 years have passed since the completion of the sentence, which includes any license suspension, you apply for Rehabilitation, not a TRP.
2. Doesn't matter where you apply, if it is for TRP, you are looking at months rather than days for processing. The same for rehabilitation.

Hi

My father got the supervisa in February 2013 for 1 year and 9 months. Actually his passport is going to expire in Dec 2014. He came to Canada in Aug 2013 and got the entry till Aug 2015 (2 year entry). Now i've his 10 year renewed passport. And i want to renew his visa before he leaves Canada. He is planing to leave Canada in December 2014.

Now my quesiton is :

Can i apply online ? If yes, How will they stamp the visa on his passport. (Remember i am talking about the sticker we get on passport).
