First off I'd have to say OMG the volumes of useful info found among the catacombs of these halls. Awesome...!
Now to business. I have been married for 10+ years to a wonderful Canadian woman with whom we have 2 great daughters.
Tho I work and "live" in US I cross into Canada every weekend to visit them I figure it's time to move nord and tho I am gainfully employed and do in fact support my family in Canada I would like to eliminate the weekly crossing and just move north, living and working there as a PR.
I am "retired" USPS and my US social security is maxed so my retirement isn't in question.
Any responses with a specific procedural "routine" would be greatly appreciated. I can follow instruction clearly and have a nack for these "legalese" matters

When it comes to which forms to complete, I would rely on the information on the CIC site rather than an old post here. The forms do sometimes change and the process is different depending on whether you are applying inland or outland.

Since you've got kids together, it ought to be obvious your relationship is genuine. You're unlikely to have any problems.

On the off chance this was questioned by CIC on the basis that you haven't been living together, and that your originally genuine relationship might have ended previously, the main evidence to answer that concern might be proof of regular travel to Canada. This could be your travel history from the CBSA.
