Hi, my wife and I are currently married, however, she lives in the United States and I live in Canada. We are applying for spousal sponsorship so that she can obtain Canadian Permanent Resident status.

We would like for her to move to Canada and begin living together before the sponsorship application is complete. Is there any way that she can stay with me while I apply for her Outland, instead of inland.

Hello there!

Is she a US citizen? Because USA is a visa except country so she won't require one to come and stay with you... But of course she will need to exit and than re enter the country after 6 months? If I am wrong maybe somebody can correct me?
Good luck!

yes she is a US citizen, and she already stayed with me for two months but she went back to USA, because we thought if we are submitting the application Outland then she need to be in USA

No need to leave Canada. Better to apply for an extension from inside of Canada.

You can apply Outland and she can be with you in Canada but she won't be able to work. She can get a visitor record that will allow her to stay up to 1 year and she could easily go in and out of Canada if she gets this document.

She could apply to extend her stay

Thank you guys for your help, I have one more question if we are applying Outland and she is with me in Canada, does she have to bring the police certificate with her from USA, and same thing for the medical exam, do we need to get it from USA or she can have it in Canada?

She can get it from a FBI channeler. Takes less than 1 week. Get it before leaving the states. If she wants to save some money, she can get her meds done in Canada. Also remember that you guys cant cross the border with too many things. I would recommend 2 luggages and a bag pack max. Just like she would be doing it traveling by air or bus.

Thank you so much , that sounds great, how about when they ask about medical checkup, can she have it done in Canada or in USA ? And when we submit the application is it possible to put my address so we can get any response on it, or she need to go back to USA to get her PR when everything is done ?

Medical can be done in Canada. If she is in Canada when the app is submitted, she needs to list her Canadian address; if she is in the US, then she needs to list her US address.

One more question please, If my wife is coming from USA to visit me ,just for few months, but don't know exactly when she can go back to USA, does she have to buy round way ticket or she can just do one way, will that be a problem if she only have one way ticket??

Its your choice, round way is better if you want to save money but Canada-Us shouldn't be a problem, she can do one way as well because she doesn't know when she is going back. Did you already submit your application? If you haven't then keep boarding passes & tickets so you can show them as relationship proof :)

Do you mean one way is better or round way, because if I want to save money then I have to do one way

Round way is usually cheaper as a one way ticket is usually 3 quarter the amount of a 2 round ticket. So when you buy the other half you end up paying much more than a round.

Round way is much cheaper no doubt :)
