American applying for Visitor Extension

I arrived in May, 2017 to be with my boyfriend (now fiance'). My 180 day stay was up on November 8th. Earlier in October I submitted an online Visitor Extension form and requested a 12 month extension to stay. I also included the fact that I am not working at this time ( I was told this is a no-no for sure.), and I also included a letter from our federal MP's office here which stated they had reviewed my boyfriends' tax returns and the letter also stated he had well exceeded adequate funds to allow me to stay with him while in Ontario. I submitted my passport and everything they have asked for. My intent next summer is to marry, but I didn't mention that on the extension form. Do you think I have a chance of my request being granted?

The gentleman that helped me at the MP's office said it might not be a good idea to mention I wanted to stay so we could become common law etc etc...Oh dear...This makes me so nervous. I tried to see if there was a way I could add something to my application online, but I don't think it will allow me to.
