Would anyone know a case, or someone who tried to submit correction of IMM 5406: Additional Family Information?

We filled-in my parent's birth years by mistake, making them a year older.
I am just worried that this might post a problem when we try to invite them
in the future.

I am already a permanent resident, and I just noticed it a few days ago
when browsing through my files. The other form, Background Information
has correct information though.

You're likely over-thinking the issue. You have a reasonable explanation, its an easy mistake to make and it seems unlikely to have been material to their decision process. Further, it's not likely they will pull YOUR application if your parents decide to come to Canada in the future.

Don't worry too much, it's just a minor mistake that is very easy to correct just inform them asap.

Her file's already closed (she said she has PR) so those forms have been archived. Do you really think the visa office is going to drag her file out to update it?

@nxt83
I actually did try to contact the embassy but I can't get anyone to talk to.
I did send them an email informing them about this error.

@computergeek

Yea, I think I'm just really paranoid. :)

HI,

I am in the same situation as yours. I had entered wrong date of birth for my spouse's parent in my EE application. I didn't know about this. Later on, I added my newborn in the application when the application was in progress. I had to resubmit IMM 0008 and IMM 4506 forms. There, I have entered correct DOB of spouse's parent. My application got processed and I am now a PR. I am now sponsoring my spouse for her PR. Will that affect her application?
