Am I the only one who waited for oath invitation for almost 6 months after DM? Montréal office

Hi, friends, I applied in early July 2020, got Decision made on July 3, 2021. Until now it’s been 5.5 months and I still haven’t received oath invitation. I called and sent webforms, none got any useful reply.
Is there anyone in the same situation? What can we do?

Hi consider yourself lucky, I've done the test on 20th july 2021, no decision made yet

It depends on the processing office. Mine is Vancouver and it took 4 months from DM to oath….

I’m from Montréal office. On CIC website they say it’ll be 3-4 months from DM to oath invitation

Montréal office is the only office that I know can make applicants wait for more than 4 months after Decision made.

My friend who is in Toronto applied in April 2021 has been arranged ceremony in Feb 2022.

My background check is due soon. At that time my application will change from Decision made to in process.

I don’t think I’m lucky at all.

There are people waiting since Jan and March 2021 for the oath with the Montreal office. Not sure why given that people who got DM months after are done. It seems to me officers flag some files to be delayed for the oath in purpose. It's impossible this is sheer luck

I guess the same thing too. In Montréal office, many people wait within 4 months some even 2 weeks for the oath invitation. It seems some files are forgotten totally.

It happend to me as i got oath invitation after 5 months. Montreal office

One thing though once they confirm your oath the dates for oath are usually in 2 weeks rather than your friend waiting until Feb 2022.

Lot of windsor 2020 is waiting for more than 5+ months after the test. Same case at Edmonton too.
