I am trying to send enough but not too much in my Outland application for spousal PR. Canadian husband sponsoring me, USA wife.
Relationship began in May 2012 after meeting online playing a game on facebook.
10 trips to visit so far. Married December 2014. I live in USA, he lives in Canada. We are both over age 45.

I have 50 pictures printed at Walgreens. Half are from wedding and then rest are selfies together.
10 travel itineraries.
8 gmail messages to prove others know of relationship.
3 print screen of gmail in box message page showing we chat and gmail each other. Random dates to show ongoing.
3 printed pages showing bank transfers
2 printed pages showing joint bank accounts
1 month of cell phone calls between us showing date, time and length of calls.
1 print screen of skype calls
1 print screen of xplornet satellite bill showing usage for the last year, we use xplornet to skype.
20 pages of credit card charges showing charges made in each others country when we ate out, hotels when we took driving trips and airfare
charges and gifts purchased.

Thanks so much for your advice.

I'd say put in actual copies of the airline tickets and hotel reservations. Otherwise looks good. Some people say to put in pics with you both with other people (friends) but we didn't really. They don't scrutinize americans that hard unless there are some unusual circumstances.

Put as much in as you can! My husband HATES pics so we had like, 12 total. LOL. Also had about 30 pages of Skype convos. That was all we included. I got my COPR on the 8th =) You are 100% perfect with what you are sending and I can pretty much guarantee you won't be facing an issue with proving the relationship. Good luck to you and if you have any questions don't hesitate to message me on here!

Looks good! Actually, 20 pages of credit card statements is a bit much. I'd just do 5-10.

Don't sweat things too much. Canadian/US couples are generally taken at face value.

I have 50 pictures printed at Walgreens. Half are from wedding and then rest are selfies together.
10 travel itineraries.
The wedding pictures are reasonable, but do the selfies have any sort of identifying feature to merit inclusion? If they're literally pictures of your faces, an officer won't be able to place them in time or location, which in theory means they could be easily-forged or taken all at once.

Do you have any pictures handy from those 10 trips?

1 print screen of xplornet satellite bill showing usage for the last year, we use xplornet to skype.
This isn't necessary. You've proven that you use Skype to contact each other, CIC doesn't really care how you pay for the Internet connection used for it.

20 pages of credit card charges showing charges made in each others country when we ate out, hotels when we took driving trips and airfare
charges and gifts purchased.
This is probably a little much. This evidence only supplements your aformentioned trips by showing that yes you both actually took said trips, and by this point your application might weigh enough from the paper to need extra postage.

Your relationship proof is more than sufficient to hit the main points:

  • That you had an "ordinary" wedding, within the (very flexible) customs of America/Canada. (This point is more binding for more family-oriented societies; as I understand it this is a major item for applicants from India for example.)
  • That you and your partner were in contact before the marriage and continue to be in contact.
  • That your relationship is known to friends and family (that is, not secret).
  • That you have merged your finances to the extent practical

Given your timeline, you will most likely receive Condition 51 on your permanent residency after it is granted; this makes your PR revocable if you and your husband split within two years of landing.
