hi,
i am a rejected refugee claimant been covered by ifhp for the last few years.. and due to the new changes i wont be covered starting end of june 2012
i am pregnant and my due date is in July, my doctor has suggested for me to have a c-section due to some complications in my pregnancy..
no private health insurance will cover me now especially on this short notice,
i am a self employed, and tax payer, residing in quebec since 2007.. married to a Canadian citizen with a sponsorship file in process since september 2011,
what can i do to have health care to cover my delivery in july? and how much it will cost to pay for a c-section in montreal?
and which hospital? :'(

Talk to Quebec health care about your possible coverage. If you have applied inland, you may be able to get coverage before you get your PR but you must ask them because they will decide on that. If they say no, do your own research on hospitals in your area. Make sure to mention that your husband is Canadian and you are in the process of being sponsored for PR. They may give you a discount.

i did my application inland, and i got the first acceptance in april and i ve been told by my lawyer that i will be getting
the quebec selection in the next 2 months, but nothing till now
:(

hello.......how can i understand if i am eligible for health care?

Talk to the health care in your province. In most cases spouses being sponsored inland are eligible after AIP (first stage approval).
