I have a tricky issue that I haven't can't seem to find a solution for.
My wife has a temporary working holiday visa (IEC) and will soon be applying for permanent residency. Whilst she is working she is covered by BC's MSP program providing she is in work. However until her permanent residency application has been accepted which could take years as soon as she is out of work she is no longer covered by MSP.
I am here on a visitors visa. We are both UK citizens.
Our problem is that she is hoping to get pregnant in the next couple of years. Since she won't be working whilst having a baby she will lose MSP cover. Without MSP cover we could end up with potentially huge medical bills if their were any complications.
Does anyone know of any potential ways around this issue?
