Besides - Any suggestions on - Does anyone know if you challenge and pass exams for your programme at an approved institution, will they accept that for evaluation?

Wait, someone actually counseled you to do what you did? Or you mean you have since retained counsel to best advise you one the way forward?

Who would you "challenge"? Why would you challenge? What do you mean by challenge exams for your programme at an institution? Will "who" accept that evaluation? What "evaluation" are you referring to?


If you were/are referring to FSW ECA evaluations, CIC only accepts ECA evaluations that were done by the CIC approved ECA organisations.


If you are referring to challenging the evaluation of your ECA organisation (ICAS), I assume you at least read their FAQ page:

What if I disagree with the conclusion of the assessment?

ICAS assessments are based on policies developed and approved by its Management Committee. If you disagree with the outcome, you must contact us in writing (mail, fax or e-mail) within one year of the date on which the report was issued. A Senior Assessment Officer will review your Assessment Report to ensure that it is consistent with current policies and will advise you of the outcome of the review in writing. If you still do not agree with the assessment, you can submit a formal appeal in writing to the Chair of the Management Committee at P O Box 21001, 35 Harvard Road, Guelph ON N1G 4T3. An external consultant will then review your documents and forward a report to the committee for consideration at its next meeting. The committee's decision will be forwarded to you in writing. The fee for the appeal is $200. The fee will be refunded if the appeal is successful.

Are the educational qualification assessment polices for FSW same for all four evaluating organizations? i.e

Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies;
International Credential Assessment Service of Canada;
World Education Services; and,
Medical Council of Canada.

Since you are already familiar with ICAS, why don't you just check the other 2 ECA organizations (WES, Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies) to find out? All you have to do is go to their websites.

I have a ICCRC counsel advising me.

I am at the appeal stage now. I have received a mail from them for filing an appeal. But the tragedy is that ICAS is not ready to accept a certificate issued by my Government recognizing my course for applying to senior Government jobs.

Their argument is that the certificate is valid only for applying to senior Government jobs, but does not state any approval from AICTE.

They have "copy pasted" the same paragraph in their mail regarding disputing ther evaluation i.e What if I disagree with the conclusion of the assessment?

Regarding other three ECA institutions I guess CIC must have provided the same set of processes to be followed for ECA to all institutions. So if ICAS is standing on the same argument, the other three will also take a same stand, which is - Your course was not recognized by AICTE at the time of attendance (Year 2001)

I am sure you must have got a rejection. Which is the "ICCRC counsel" that was advising you. They totally messed you up.
Your application will be rejected for the very reason that it is not accompanied with an ECA.
What do you mean by appeal stage? Are you going to challenge CIC rejection in a Federal Court? I'm sure you will loose your time and money.

Coming to AICTE approval, if a course is not recognised when you studied, there is no way your course will be recognised for ECA.
Its the mistake of your college for not getting approval from AICTE and its your mistake to join a course without proper approvals.

Hay FSW-CAN if your file reached at 4th may and that is without ECA your file must be returned back withyou. have you got your appliation?

BECAUSE IN ICAS YOU HAVE TO SEND YOUR ORIGNALS MARKSHEET, DEGREE AND OTHER TO ICAS, (AT YOUR OWN RISK) THEY DONT EVALUATE WITHOUT "ORIGNALS"


I HAVE SEND ALL NOTORISED DOCUMENTS OF MY MARKSHEETS, DEGREEES ETC ALONG WITH ORIGNAL TRANSCRIPST BUT NOW THEY NEED ORIGNAL DEGREE FOR EVALUATION !!!
BECASUSE VERIFIED, TRUECOPY, NOTORISED IS NOT VALID AT ALL.

I HAVE PAID THEIR FEES,BUT STILL WITHOUT REPORT.....
