i have applied for Lambton college through an agent and the agent told me that the college did not accept me as i have 15 backlogs and he told me that it is impossible to get admission under SPP colleges... can any one pls help me is there any chance of getting admission under SPP colleges...

Try for Mohawk.. May be you can get admission there.

lol u agent screwed up.....lol if u didnt even get admission to a collage after bachelors that means something is screwed up.....either the profile u gave is not accurate or incomplete....do ur transcripts show backlogs ? I suggest u change ur agent ....lol

No where it is written in checklist or cic web.however backlogs play important role in final visa decision.

yes it shows my backlogs. i have submitted all my mark sheets of 4years...my plan is to do masters but my agent told me that deadlines are over for jan intake...he suggested me to do 1year PG and i can enter in to 2nd year of masters in the related filed of program...

hi there buddy.... the thing is, backlogs are important when it comes to VISA. Even I have the same case. i too have 15 backlogs, but i didnt have any problem getting offer letter from colleges. I have an offer letter from centennial for JAN 2013 intake. and also from fanshawe.

The main problem ppl like us will be having, is getting VISA under spp.
Now, i have done a lot of research regarding this. Its true, under SPP only 8 backlogs are allower (2 backlogs per year), but many still have got their VISA (though they got rejected first, but got them 2nd or 3rd time).

Now, you'll have to find a good agent for yourself. Cause, they do play an important role. I don't know who are good or bad agents, but google for it, i am sure you will find alot of them (make sure they are ICCRC registered). And also, start praying

IELTS -7.5 overall (no band less than 7)
10th-68%
12th- 74%
BE (MECH)- 56% (agg), 67% in final yr.
(with 15 backlogs)

Now, the new rules have eased some tensions for me.
Pay your fees in cash, get a GIC certificate of ($10000). This will increase your chances of VISA (atleast i heard so :

r u applying under SPP??one of my agent told me that having more than 8 backlogs can not apply under SPP and for which course have u applied??? i am planing for PG(computers).i was rejected by fanshawe and Lambton...and where r u from???
