i have done b.com and have master diploma from aptech .12+ exprience as software developer. am i eligible to apply for pr under federal skilled worker (noc-2174) in coming year 2014.

In order to know your eligibility you need to check the main duties described by HRSDC for NOC2174 in the following link:

For elibility, a match of 70-80 % is required between your job nature and the items listed in above link. This being said it is important to bear in mind that it not guaranteed that NOC 2174 will be in the next years eligible occupations for FSWP 2014. The Canadian govt. plans to implement the EOI system from next year on similar lines to Australia and new Zealand. So you will have to wait till some news come.

Dear sha1122,

Have your tried the free assessment test for Canadian PR? It is available on google. You should try 2013 points calculator. Moreover, if you are planning to apply this year, the cap is probably filled or soon it will be filled. You must be aware that, IELTS and ECA are two main hurdles (though not so difficult to clear off, as per my personal experience), after which only you can submit your application.
