Am i Eligible to apply for a Tourist Visa?

Hey!, I'm a Pakistani international Student, Living in London. Can I apply for tourist visa for Canada?
I've been here from "Oct 2010" and my Visa expires Nov' 2012. I have a 2 months Vacation/summer break.
Am i eligible to apply?

Any kind of information/help is appreciated.

yes you can apply as you are staying in uk legally

Yeah, the easiest way for Pakistanis to get visit visas for other countries is by getting a student visa/resident visa for somewhere else first, and then applying from there for visit visas. You shouldn't have any problems.

I requested a holiday letter from college but instead they gave me a absence letter(leave). When I asked the college they said it will work the same. I don't want to get rejected for a small mistake which is not even done from my side.
Please share your views.
