Hello!
Welcome to the forum.

What I understand from your brief message, I think you have a good chance of getting a PR.
But, I would suggest you look into "Federal Skilled Trades" category because your experience sounds to match much better in that.

For applying under Federal Skilled you will need to get an ECA and a good score in IELTS.

1st thing: Please check with WES if your institution is 'Recognized' or not.
You can probably check it on their website under 'Recognized institutions list' too.
If it is, then go ahead and apply for an ECA report from WES.

2: Take IELTS
3: Create your EE profile.

Hope this helps you to get started.

Dear superspecial90,
Thanks for your quick reply.I have gone to wes website and i found that wes recognized tool dont have my country in their institution countries list.In skilled trade occupation eca can be done to many organization like ices, icas, ces but real problem is in their skilled trade criteria i see this they say "have an offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least one yearFootnote** or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority."

So i need a job offer from canada? That is very tough i guess.

please let me know, what can i do? thanks

You are welcome.
Yes, getting a job offer is not easy but it is worth trying.

Try this https://applications.wes.org/ca/degree-equivalency-tool/poe.asp to see if you can find information about your institution's recognition.
Proceed only if you are certain that the institution is 'Recognized'.
Thanks but the institution is unrecognized.I will try with IQAS ..but i want to know how much forgein diploma equal to canada equavilency?
And yes is there anyway for the program without express entry or job offer? by going student visa and do some courses then again apply?

Hello @nirjhor911! Welcome to the forum. I would say, in any case get your academic credentials assessed. You cannot move forward without it; and they might assess you with good grades, you never know! And if it fails, you can always try for a job offer or a student visa. All the best. :)

Hi!
Any foreign education is considered equivalent to a Canadian degree only when it is certified by an ECA. This means, you can have a Ph.D. from an 'Unrecognized' institution but for you will not get any points in your EE profile for that degree.

Please check with other ECA issuing bodies if they recognize your institution. Do not waste money on getting an ECA that will say the institution is 'Not Recognized'.

You can always apply for a student visa. Get a good score in Academic IELTS and choose a course that matches your academic background.
If you can complete a degree in Canada, you surely will get a good job and then getting a PR will be just a matter of time.

1. Yes, check with other ECA issuing bodies.

2. You will get points for the masters degree only if that is verified in the ECA. Check your poins with only the masters.

3. Any education from a Canadian institute will help you in getting PR but you will have to secure a job before that. So, the degree/ diploma should be something that helps you find a job. Your job will help you secure the PR, not the degree.

4. You will have to bring most of the money from Bangladesh. You can probably pay part of your expenses by working but it will be extremely difficult.

5. Don't get admission in a diploma program, you will not get a visa for those. And if you are refused a student visa, it will affect any future applications including the PR.

6. Check out the options of getting an ECA for both of your degrees and get a good score IELTS. This will be the best way. Student visa will be a very long route to PR and if the rules change, you will be in deep trouble.

Dear Superspecial,
Thanks for your helps continously.I have query about that
1)I have 4 years diploma (not bachelor) which is recognized by wes.(dont know the equavilency)
2)i am doing graduation which is 70 percent complete .This university is not recognized by the wes.
3)As i am planning to do masters from a recognized institute.

My question is i am assesing my 3 degree’s with wes. 2 degrees (diploma and masters) they can asses as this are recognized. So what will be crs point as bachelor’s institute is not recognised. Will it create a problem when they can asses masters not bachelor’s at all.So they will give me zero points?
