Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well.

I am a newbie here just shout if this has been asked / answered already, I'll understand.

I am thinking to migrate to Canada, as Australia is becoming difficult to do so.

A brief background of me:

I did my Masters degree in Information Technology in Australia (Which comes under Information systems analysts and consultants (2171)), I also posses 1 year of paid experience and a few months of part time experience.

I have scored 9L, 7.5S, 7W, 7R in IELTS, and I do not know French one bit.

Based on the online Express Entry eligibility test, it seems I am eligible

My questions:

Would I need to do an assessment for my work and studies? (In Australia we need to assess our work and education to be deemed skilled for Permanent Residency)

Does Job title matter? My roles and responsibility encompasses around a Business Analyst but I do not hold a Business Analyst title.

My work experience is marked as CASUAL but with 30 hours + provable experience. Will this be a problem?

After lodging my Express Entry, how long does it take to gain a grant?

Do I need to source a JOB in Canada to be at a better stand?

Keen to hear your replies. :)

Does Job title matter? My roles and responsibility encompasses around a Business Analyst but I do not hold a Business Analyst title. No as long as your job responsibilities match your NOC code

My work experience is marked as CASUAL but with 30 hours + provable experience. Will this be a problem? If you have 1 year of experience working 30 hours a week, I don't see a problem

After lodging my Express Entry, how long does it take to gain a grant? It's a competitive system. The better your score, higher are your chances

Do I need to source a JOB in Canada to be at a better stand?Yes, it will certainly add points but not just a job offer but a LMIA approved job

Keen to hear your replies. :)

It might become slightly difficult in the CRS evaluation. With just 1 year of work exp, you may claim less points

For some reason I missed the green highlighted part.

So how do I get my education and work experience assessed? Do I need to do it before Express Entry.

With your age and IELTS score, it will be extremely difficult to migrate Australia?
