Hello There,

I have landed Canada on 13 July 2012. As per the offer my first day of employment on 16th July 2012 and the last date would be on 12 July 2013.
So, I'm planning to go back to my home country on July 17 2013.

In this case,

1. Total stay in Canada : 1 year, 5 days (13 July 2012 to 17 July 2013)
2. Total days worked : 11 months, 27 days (16 July 2012 to 12 July 2013) and 40 hrs full time per week.
Q, Am I eligible for CEC, Since I have 4 days less in 12 months of experience. ? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.. :)

I think they r very strict about that 1 year requirement. So you may get refused.

Thank for your comments, :)
Just I'm curious, If the employer provide 1 year work permit (12 months), How we can work for 12 months (52 weeks) exactly ?
some time it takes time for travel and the employment on-boarding and off-boarding process etc ..

1 year work permit is issued to work in Canada. Are you not paid during your on boarding / off boarding process?

Its a Intra company transfer category, In Canada they are paying me from 16th July 2012 to 12 July 2013 as per the offer. (4 days less in 12 months)

also It's bi weekly salary basis, so they will keep the last date as per the payroll calender.

If it is paid vacation, yes. It is very much included.
But not sure if any employer in Canada will approve your paid vacation for 8 weeks in one shot.

vgs,
very likely that your application will be rejected. 12 months of Canadian work exp is a MUST. You need to evidence this claim with a detailed Reference letter as per the requirement and pay stubs as additional docs (not mandatory).

it does not matter what is your payday. The last day of actual work matters.
If you were given 8 weeks paid vacation- it is a work. If it was unpaid absence of leave- you did not work.

But in your case you are short of 4 days anyway. It seems like your company made it on purpose -for not letting you apply for permanent status.

If that(in red) is true, that's so sad. :(

@vgs... you need 12 months of skilled work experience to be eligible. Have you tried to ask your employer for an extension? You can ask for 2 weeks or 1 month extension. If they agree, apply for a work permit extension(even if you don't have a LMO. Do intra-company transfers need a LMO?) before your current work permit expires. This will give you implied status and you can continue to work and stay legally until CIC makes a decision on the work permit application.
You can work on your PR application while you wait. Try to obtain an employment letter before leaving the company.

If they refuse to extend your contract but you still want to stay, you can apply to change your status to visitor before your current work permit expires. This will also give you implied status(but you must stop working when your permit expires) and you can look for a new employer willing to apply for a LMO for you. If the LMO is approved, you can apply for a work permit. The good news is within the first few weeks of working in a new job, you will have a total of 12 months skilled work experience and can prepare your PR application.

In fact, start looking for a new employer now and see if you are able to find one before July 12th. Best wishes in all your endeavours.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions, :) Appreciated!!!!
Even though my work permit expire date on 19th July , they mention my last working date 12th July as per bi weekly pay day (Friday).
Let me try to ask my employer to extend my last date on July 17. (13th Jul Saturday to 17th Jul Wednesday)

In this case my total stay here, 1 year, 5 days (13 July 2012 to 18 July 2013).
Could you suggest me please , Is there any possible ways to compromise these 4 days if they did not accept to extend.
