I got the following IELTS band. I don't know whether I am eligible or not under NOC A category hence before going ahead to submit the file. Could you any one review my IELTS band based on NOC ( 2173) A category...

your scores need to be a 6 or above for all four categories in order to be eligible for Skilled Level A. Since you had a "5" for writing, that would make you ineligible for CEC at this point.

But somewhere, I have read that there are two options 1) 6,6,6,6
and 2) 6,7,7,8 to go through CEC point in IELTS.

I don't know how to count the CLB level here based on IELTS..

Anyone senior could you please comment here.

First of all IELTS points does not equal to CLB. They need to be converted.

Second, the options you've heard were you can either have a CLB of:

7,7,7,7 OR
6,7,7,8

But this was the old requirement.

The new requirement states you'd need to have be at CLB 7 for all four categories. When I explained earlier, I said you need to score at least a "6" for all four categories is because scoring "6" = CLB 7.

Yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about. Don't pay attention to the OP Manual 25 because they didn't change a thing from the older version. They didn't update any new information or important changes to the manual. Go with the website right now because it has the most updated information regarding CEC on there.

hi,

just to make clarification on op25

there are 2 versions of op25.

1. <cic site>/english/resources/manuals/op/op25-eng.pdf
For applications for permanent residence submitted
by applicants in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) received before January 2, 2013.

2. <cic site>/english/resources/manuals/op/op25A-eng.pdf
for applications for permanent residence submitted
by applicants in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and received by the Centralized
Intake Office (CIO) on or after January 2, 2013.

In second one we can clearly see changes in language requirement.

Hi You have to take IELTS exam again. As per new rules, you need 6 band score in reading, listening, writing and speaking.
