Am I Eligible for Canadian Experience Class ? Please evaluate and reply .

1) I was on Deputation between Oct 2009 till Dec 2009 .for 2months
Is this period of Deputation will be count in Canadian Experience ?

2) And then on the payrolls of Canadian Organization between Jan 2010 to Dec 2011 . But off roll on 29th Dec 2011 (Last Day in Organization) .
Is above will be consider as complete 2 years for Canadian Experience class ?

3) When i was on payroll of Canadian Organization , I being out of country, to visit Home Country for 1 Month , But not on vacation but as an Deputation .
Is this period of one month away from Canada, will be deduct from the Experience for Canadian Experience class ?

Much appreciate if anyone can reply to above queries .

It should, if you can get a letter of reference from your employer for that period.

You were on a work assignment (you said it was NOT vacation), then this is work outside of Canada and you probably cannot count this.

It will be close, whether or not you qualify. It will depend on that initial period, whether you provide adequate evidence of those first two months...

Hi,

Even mine is similar case. I came to canada on work permit from India and till now worked for 16 months in total from June 2010 onwards. In between I went back to India and received salary only in India.

I heard Canadian Govt is going to change the minimum experience for CEC program as 1 year instead of 2 years. Is it implmented ?

Regards
Sreeram

Hi Sreeram,

you need 24 months full time exp in Canada as per current rules as still there is no change yet for CEC program

thanks

Not yet. It seems such changes are usually made around July 1.
