am I cook NOC classification 6311 or 6711

i started work in the food court, in the kitchen of panda express. food is served buffet-style to customers by the cashier.

in the kitchen, i prepare meats, and I use a grill to grill items such as raw shrimp, chicken, and beef and i also fry foods in the fryer. then i bring the food to the steam table. then i return to the kitchen to prep and cook food again.

Will CIC consider that type of work to be NOC 6711-D level or NOC 6311-B level for CEC application?

You match to the NOC based on the lead statement and the duties/responsibilities. The lead statement usually specifies a context. Your context and duties match NOC 6711.

However, If you are promoted to supervisor or assistant manager, you could then use that experience.

 Executing preparations and meals in respect of recipes datasheet
 Cleanliness of the kitchen, maintenance of the kitchen during the different periods of work and
compliance with the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning checklists.
 Assist the dishwasher when required
 Any other tasks requested by the chef
also my pay stubs, ROE indicates the same as cook. However, would you please tell what is my NOC,then? Thank you very much for your effort.

Look all anyone can do here is guess based on what someone posts what NOC they may match, consensus here is 6711 given you are not a true chef or cook but more a kitchen assistant in a fast food franchise.

Ultimately if you do not want to accept the feedback then there is nothing to stop you applying and taking your chances with the NOC you think applies same as everyone else given in the end only IRCC view is important and can decide, not a public forum.

Just recognizing that you are not the OP. So - as I noted before, it is very important to indicate the CONTEXT you work in... (Do you also work in a fast-food court? Or a four star restaurant? You really need to describe the type of establishment you work in). Since you mention that you work under the supervision of a chef, I'm going to assume it is a restaurant, and your duties seem to be in line with Cook (NOC 6322). If you supervise any kitchen staff, it is good to add that. While not mandatory, if you have any related education/training/certification, it is also good to mention that.

OP= original poster. The first post was made by trail36908. When Bs65 replied to your post, I think s/he mistook you for trail36908 (the OP). This can happen if you use someone else's thread to post your question, instead of starting your own thread.

I worked only in restaurant not in fast food court. I obtained "Worker Health & Safety Awareness Certificate 2015" and "Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System 2015 ( both are online based though) organized by employer. I am wondering, will they be counted, I mean can i claim for CRS points?

No, by certification I meant trade certification as a cook, as indicated in the NOC.

??? I'm not sure what you mean, but again - The certification is NOT MANDATORY. You can claim experience as a cook without the certification.
