Hi everyone! So I just got an extension of my study permit. It says on the conditions:

1. Unless authorized, prohibited from engaging in employment in Canada.
2. Must leave Canada by 2015/09/01.

Remarks/Observations:
Temporary Resident Status maintained as per R183(6). May accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per R183(F), (V) or (W). Must cease working if no longer meeting these criteria.

My question is can I work or not? What do you think? Do you have the same notes on your study permit? Thanks.

See how it says unless authorized. They will authorize you once you apply for an Off-Campus Work Permit.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the comment. I called CIC and they said I can work as long as I'm a full time student.

Hey Buddy!

Do you mind to tell me please whole process about extending student visa within Canada. i.e Documents requirements, fund/Balance requirements, fees, processing time or any other information you might think critical.

Right now i'm doing 1 year course so i have to extend my visa to complete my 2nd one year course starting from Sept 2015.

thanks

Unless you are enrolled full time you CANNOT WORK. even if you have study work permit. the new study permit allow you to work right away. just get a sin number from service canada.
and for people who took a 1 year course and are applying extension, please visit your internatinal advisors and they will help you.
